If you are in pain and looking for a cure. You will probably get hundreds of solutions, but do they really help you satisfactorily? And Do they allow you the flexibility of your daily lifestyle? Interventional Pain Management is a medical treatment method, which helps to reduce pain and get you back to your life by the use of certain interventions such as neural blocking (preventing pain signals to pass through the nervous system), endoscopic discectomy etc.

The Medical Practitioner looks at the person as a whole and looks out for solutions that focus on the root issue of the pain without hindering the person’s daily lifestyle. Techniques used: There are few basic techniques used as Interventional Pain Management like acute rest, hot and cold compresses, yoga, exercises etc. But many times these basic techniques seem to be less effective or slowly affecting. In such cases the practitioners opt for more typical techniques, as listed below:

  1. Nerve Blocks: In this technique, the degeneration of nerve fibers is carried out by the use of certain chemicals (canned “neurolysis”) or use of physicals agents for heating or freezing (canned “neurotomy”). This technique prevents pain signals to pass through the nervous system.
  2. Botox Injections: Botox injections are used to counterfeit aging and wrinkles, It works by softening the muscles by blocking the tissues which contract the muscles and produces wrinkles.
  3. Radiotherapy: When drug treatments seem less effective or ineffective, Radiotherapy is used to prevent growing tumor, penetration of soft tissues and sometimes smaller usage to produce analgesia. Relief occurs within weeks and it is quite more efficient.
  4. Epidurolysis (RACZ): This method dissolves scar tissues from entrapped tissues which enables medications to access the affected areas and can increase the speed of treatment.
  5. Intrathecal Infusion: in these method opioids sufentanil, fentanyl, morphine etc. are delivered into space into the spinal cords sheath and outer protective sheath. It provides increased analgesia with reduced systematic side effects and reduced levels of pain.
